Hi, was just wondering, even if i have like 100% accurate windcharts and shit, but what happens when u calculate in tailwind and get an angle like 16.6? how much power would u add for that extra 0.6 of an angle? I understand the higher the airtime of the shot, the more power to add is required, but how do i find out approximately how much? please help, especially all you future engineers and physics lovers xD

rofl at that last line...

dont let dan bully you into using fixed angle

anywho, em... the power for half an angle depends on the screen division, the bot, the wind, as well as the distance. if you use 40pps, for example, half an angle is 10 pixels, whereas 20pps, half an angle is 20 pixels.
for heavier bots, changing power by the same amount will not make as big a difference as lighter bots.
as you might've noticed, power also seems to matter less in head wind. say normally 50 3.1 hit your target, and now you are forced to use 50 3.6; .1 bar will make a bigger difference without head wind.
if you look at a power-distance graph, its not a straight line. the trend is that, the closer they are, the more power to change.
all that being said, the general rule i guess is .1 power difference. not like im gonna try to drag .05 less =x

i dont think hes ever gonna be bored enough to give you a list of the power differences for half an angle in every wind, at every distance, at every angle, and on every bot.
either guesstimate it, or use fixed angle instead.

you can do what i do for my 64 lob method and make every wind factor= 1 angle so you wont ever have to worry about that again.

pretty much sums it up. The power you add/lower tends to change based on all the situation sty mentioned, so it's mainly experience (basically how much you feel the 0.4 angle will change your shot)
ex: 1 screen away. 15 wind horizontally against u. ur on armor. 3 bar method tells u to shoot 59.4. From experience i know what in kinda lower angle, angle doesn't affect the shot TOO much anymore. i'd shoot 59, 2.95 from experience (its really 2.98 though :O). but sometimes angle affect it more. u just have to know when. and as sty pointed out, i'm not gonna bother listing a table for every bot, every situation, etc. Formula is meant to be a quick way of knowing what to shoot, so every formula has some feeling in it, or you might as well punch the entire physics equation in ur calculator. seeing as no1 does that, formulas will always rely on one's feeling on how to adjust after u get the result.

Umm other than sty's method I'd probably also add that you can move around usually to change the distance between u + enemy. like say u were @ angle 75 in 0 wind, add 5.5 angle for wind, and u end up shoot 80.5. well, if u were at 74.5 or 75.5 in 0 wind, you would end up with a whole number after adjusting. i mean, its not like you're gonna switch windcharts cuz u moved 0.5 of an angle.

lol adrian isnt ur 64 lob only for boomer? :#

edit: i'd like to point out that sty's the one going into engineering + will take physics courses in uni. i'm goung into umm... math department for a finance/business program.

well I ment as in the same style as it :C . when you have 2 factors changing every thing isnt as sensitive. i'm able to literally feel boomer high angles now xD

First off, I'm going into Culinary Arts :D

Secondly, I personally <33333 fixed angles because you get rid of the guesstimation of "16.6" answers, for 1 extra calc, which, because Ive been using the exact same type of forms for a year, do in my head, and come out with a clean ".63 less power" instead of guessing to myself "ok, 16 and raise power or 17 and lower power"

I rarely try and bully people into fixed angles, you'll know when i bully some one :D
