wind barely effects the high angles
usually 2 angles adjustment at the most for full shots.
77 full is half screen and 62 full is full screen

Someone posted the first interesting video with phoenix shots : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NQwhg8CwzM
Short range, mirrors... Great.

Hey dudes,

Glad to see that I'm linked there ;D
I'm back in this place after months.
I played a lot with phoenix today, here are some "things" I noticed :
- Strong attack
- Strong defense
- Small shield
- Barely not affected by the wind
- Useless S1 (at this time)
- Easy S2, I agree with PUTOOOOO remarks about the angles
- Weird SS at the first use but ... I found a remarkable formula to use it : if you used S2 with angle X and full power, use SS with angle (X-15) and full power, it will touch .. ;) I think it's a nice tip, isn't it ;]

'Morrow, Coin-coin le Canapin and I will make a video tutorial for this mobz.

interesting, it has a specifc time interval before diving doing some Kamakazi move lmao.

i must admit, 1:30 would've been one hell of a strong shot, ran down the force bar...

s1 dives at a 50 degree, s2 dives striaght down, and SS ALWAYS curves back?

Yeah, I tried this, and it seems to work. At full power, SS hit = (Shot2 hit - 15).
By the way it's so simple I don't call that a "formula".

Oh, and if you want to suicide, try 75 full, it should work too...
And I prove it : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcyFPuxYH8I

hmm for s2

does it start to dive down @ a specific time?

or does it dive down @ the vertex of the shot (like a kal tb)?

ss sure doesnt seem to be opening @ vertex.

any1 wanna do like...

-90 full s2 in 0 wind and see if it opens when the thing is near 0 velocity
- 1 full s2 in 0 wind and see what happens (does it open @ vertex, does it just never open, does it stay a constant height above ground until it opens, etc)
- 0 full s2 and see what happens
- -1 full s2 and see what happens

well if you wanna find the physics info
then gravity is like 225
and the timing of when it does the diving crap is 1.8 seconds

Here are my first tests :

- 90 full s2 (wind is not 0 but it doesn't affect really the shot ..) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qY16P-YPcNc
To have 1, 0 or -1 with phoenix is quite difficult ..

I also made a video for a full screen shot : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJ0zHS83HTk
64 seems to be the right value ; maybe 63 or 62, but I think that 64 is great.

Edit : darn, I forgot one tip I found : to shoot through nados, I may have found a way to touch the ennemy : I advise to increase the angle value about 2. I mean, if you had X angle to touch before the nado, try X+2 with the nado. I'm not sure, but my first tests worked with this way of shooting.

I didn't play much with it at this time, but it doesn't seems so fun.
I mean, the wind is usually a big part in the game's strategy, so I don't understand this choice from Softnyx to create a mobile almost unaffected by wind.
Plus, it can ALWAYS do UHA and you can't break its angle by bunging it, so there is no difficulty to hit an enemy.
Next, if the niluje's trick about the SS angle is right in every situation when you shoot full power... It will be the easier mobile to master.

the thing that pisses me off on the mobile is that if you are on the other side of a slope you have absolutely no angle to shoot the other way.

why would you wanna use 3 bars, a lot of the time that dumb bird has trouble getting LOW angle, but never any problem getting high angle. therefore full power should be better off in most situations

36 3 bar does not hit 2 SD. u'd need umm... 4.56 bars.
45 3 bar does not hit 1.5 SD. u'd need umm... 3.91 bars.
54 3 bar is close to 1 SD. u'd really need 3.14.
63 3 bar is close to 3/4 SD. u'd really need 3.05.
72 3 bar will hit 1/2 SD. gj
81 3 bar will fly far of 1/4 SD. 2.95 seems more appropriate.

lalala i got bored.

o these #s are highly credit of StY's screenshots, which he measured + we figured out the time together, from where we found the 0 wind shots.
and also credit of MaShin's # of bars of power-->velocity in pixels/s conversion constant.
