Ah, a perfect example of something I wanted to say.

Take a look at this topic (the first two posts at least) in the Mocha skin and in the Poison skin.

Using the Mocha skin (or any light-colored one), I feel that my signature looks its best. Ascend's looks best in a dark colored skin such as Poison.

Also, this emoticon looks pretty terrible in a dark skin.

As great as it is having many skins to suit everyone's fancies, it does have its drawbacks.

I just don't see the appeal of IPB Default skin. It's nasty, and there are other skins we have here that are very similar but with less vomit-inducing colors.

I randomly switch between New Blue Darkness and IPB Default.

New Blue Darkness: mostly black (less light) so saves my eyes

IPB Default: Very nice ass on that Turtle


This topic induced me to switch back to New Blue Darkness.

It just seems much more cleaner, and the turtle.

I like the big fat blue "GBGL" letters at the top of Ocean Floor but it would be nice if there was a cute turtle next to it or something.

I use the IPB Default, but if I were to deviate, I would use BoHeGeHa, merely because I know the creator of that skin.

Poison reminds me too much of anime fansites made by gothic kids with poor basic html skills and they always, ALWAYS choose a black background with red text and spinning skulls and flames GIFs everywhere. Seriously, I look at it and it screams "12 year old goth!"
