I've been monitoring the bandwidth pretty closely and removing the problem files from Papernigger's FTP folder.

So something like this will never happen again, as long as I keep paying attention. It actually did send me warning emails when we reached 80% usage last time, but I never check my email. :|

what colin (papercut) failed to inform the general public is that he tried to host a song (aprox 113mb from what i was told) on his mudism page (also hosted via gbgl) and exceeded the monthly bandwidth limit, therefore dooming us all.

he used up 113 Gigabytes of bandwidth hosting his gay song.

my gb folder isnt even that large, i dont get how one song can be so much data. srsly. i have over 500 screen shots in my gb folder, and all those files of stuff i dont know what they do.

what kind of douche would try to host something even over a gig on any page? IT JUST DOESNT MAKE SENSE TO ME.

make a new hotmail email cuz of spam
put a fake address,state,city,phone number and zip code

Bandwidth is the amount of data transferred by the server. Every time someone downloaded the song, the amount they downloaded was added to the counter.

Assuming the song or songs were 5 mb each, that's 113gb / 5 mb = OVER TWENTY THOUSAND DOWNLOADS

And of course, I cannot help but jump on the proverbial bandwagon and add proverbial insult to injury,
