Seriously no one's going to come specifically here for formulas. Shit's all over the damned internet. Go ahead and google for guides, laugh at how irrelevant we are in that case anymore.

I would if I didn't value 88MPG over 88MPH these days.

I approve of the Back to the Future reference!
Meh, I came back because wth, I'm stuck in Japan this summer, and my only good ideas to pass the time besides studying for the GRE is either gratuitous watchings of anime, or chilling with Gunbound.
Gunbound was such a better game before, I'll definately admit to that. I remember the good ol' days playing all day, foruming GBGL and being one of the mods of GBPros with a bunch of formula junkies, all the while I was in bliss. I would go on vent, talk with everyone about random shit while playing GB, but it doesn't seem the same any more. I actually don't know how to describe it.
Perhaps it is a network effect thing... I left Gunbound, the awesome people left Gunbound, I came back to see only a game designed for the typical 12 year old.
I am still debating what to do this summer... meh I am only in day 4 of 96 <_<

Some new awesome people popped up, but then they realized they couldn't have fun in a game where all the people who know how to play it are arseholes and gave up.
The idea of GB is pretty good, is like a crappy version of Worms with cute items for your characters, and online stuff.
During my time playing, I always had more fun talking with my friends about random things than I had actually leveling or whatever I had to do in GB. And I also got my english to a pretty good level while doing so, so no complaints here.

it's been around 5-6 years i think. some dude handed the original site to rizzano just before he asploded due to stress. (what a lameass)
Haha. You know, I
was a lameass back then, but let me clarify no one handed, I started gbgl. Shere, Mezz, and Pap have done a great job keeping it going.
Yeah I was messed up back then, did some shit I ain't proud of, but oh well, things happen and you move on.

i meant caz being in charge of GBHQ and then you jumping in to fill the breach when he asploded. not much of a hand-off, heh.
also, the "lameass" was just juvenile net humor directed at caz. not you. FWIW. :P
as for keeping the place going, i thought kiwi did a great job. he's intelligent and funny and made the place interesting, altho i do remember the ugliness when he first took over from you. shere has also done a good job but has been burned out for a long time and either needs to find his mojo or give the site to someone else of repute. mezz- dunno how much he had to do with keeping the place alive, but he is a fantastic human being IMO and you can't have enough of them there things.
as for myself, thanks for the props but i had very little to do with keeping this place going. if i did anything it was to interject my own sense of humor and sense of fun and get into interesting debates (and sometimes drama queen arguments) with others. and now i'm all but retired. (boredom & curiosity do bring me back for now, tho)
anyway, glad to see you're still alive. i remember you were fairly religious and had a son and... regrettably, not much more. yet i imagine few scenerios more pointless than staying involved with GB, so i'll assume you've done well for yourself. :D

Yeah, I am not religious anymore, have 2 kids now, son and daughter, married happily, living life.
I took no offense to the lameass comment whether it was directed at me or not lol. Just took a long look at myself shortly after I last was around here and realized what a fool I was being. Straightened up, met a wonderful woman, married her (3 years now) had a daughter with her, life is good.
I should have mentioned papercut too, done well to keep GBGL going, and yeah, kiwi too.

It's fun reminiscing about the old days but when you take a look at how we still hang out here together it's pretty amazing.
Everyone here is pretty different, nobody plays the same game, and we still managed to stick together after so long. Hell, now that we're officially ditching gunbound the forum might just pick up again.

gbgl is cool, cause like it feels like i know everyone enough not to really give a shit and i can pretty much post impulsively whatever the hell i feel like posting. For example, this post. Why do i feel like posting this you say?
I'm feeling more clear minded latley.
This place is almost like fight club, in the real sense. Some shit you wouldnt really want to talk about because you know other people would think you where crazy. thats what makes it fucking awesome, and thats why i dont care if i talk about it and be myself.
Its shit like this forum that makes ME an individual, i mean how many fucking real ACTIVE memebers do you people have?
This is like some cult shit, and i love it!

http://web.archive.org/web/20040525132812/...ww.gbgl-hq.com/seriously crazy when you think about it, but this place is still awesome. I love to come here and just browse and occasionally put in my 2 cents.
EDIT: Haha, just thought of something. Shere, you should take that link above and turn it into a url for people that actually come here for the league and watch the hilarity ensue when newbs post in the forum saying "omg y cnt i sign up 4 teh leeg??!!!"
EDIT2: damn check this out, the final post from caz on gunbound-hq:
